Hi,
I transferred my vodafone private contract to a company account. Sadly the transfer was not completed properly and they have been taking money out of both my private account as well as my company account.
They have acknowledged this issue. and I am going through the process of getting the money returned.
My question is: its taken me over 40 hours on the phone to vodafone to resolve this matter. as well as them stopping all call out of my phone for 2 1/2 weeks.
What are my rights on compensation?
Is this something i take to Ombudsman? is there a formal process / response i should follow?
thanks
Jonny

You can claim your quantifiable costs, plus a credit for the downtime. You can also push for a small goodwill payment, but there is no statutory right to this, since there is no SLA on a residential account.
You should follow Voda's own complaints procedure. Until you have received a deadlock letter, or received no reply within 8 weeks from your complaint, then the regulator will not look at it.
It's not clear if you have yet made a formal complaint: this involves a letter (not an email or phone call) sent headed 'complaint'. Once that's done, the clock is ticking. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Take the £20 save all the effort.

If you go to court what are you claiming for ??0
