proposed pedestrian crossing

hi,after some advice..our local council has proposed to build a pedestrian crossing outside my house which will include build outs and double yellow lines.I need to know if this will affect the value of my house when I come to sell it or maybe put people off viewing it.I have no problem with road safety but the footfall outside of our house is very minimal and I do not see the need for one here..I have the backing of all my neighbours who are also against it.Has anyone any experience on this situation and how to oppose it? Many thanks.

Will this cause problems for residents parking on the street by taking away space? Or do you all have your own driveways anyway?
I don't think it will stop people viewing your house, the estate agents should take photos without the zebra crossing being visible.
It might affect the value, but it wouldn't put me off (unless there was no parking).Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0
