County Court Hearing

I ignored PCN's over a year ago and got a claim form from Northampton CC business centre. The claim form only had the date of the parking offense and the total amount of £229.60. I replied saying that the fee was unproportional and that there were no details of where the alleged parking took place. I have a date set for the court hearing. The company have a solicitor. It also said on the court papers that the claimant had to pay £25 by a certain date or the hearing would be removed from the list. I called the court on the said day and the £25 had not been paid. I called later and they said that the £25 had been paid one day late and the hearing would still take place ! I will turn up for the hearing...any ideas of what I should do...Thanks

It would seem that he has already filed an initial defence. The claim form only had the date of the parking offense and the total amount of £229.60. I replied saying that the fee was unproportional and that there were no details of where the alleged parking took place
@OP without any idea which company is involved and how close you are to the hearing date - other than you are clearly very close - there is little we can advise other than making you aware that you have left this very late. It is not too late to attempt to negotiate a settlement with the company concerned. The fact that they have now paid the hearing fee may mean that they are disinclined to reduce the figure by very much.My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
