I've not had one on the new mot's, but didn't the old mot refusal sheet have a box to say this car is unroadworthy/dangerous because xyz, as well as a box for its failed its mot for abc?
Yes it did. Now it's only printed if required.
Curiously, the MOT scheme allows for you to pass with the "dangerous" box ticked. It's not likely in normal scenarios but it can happen because you can have a "dangerous" advisory entered on a VT32.0 -
As all MOT's are now online is this still applicable or is old MOT void?nodiscount wrote: »0

An MOT is valid until the expiry date, no matter what happens in the meantime.
A car is illegal to drive if it's unroadworthy, whether it has a current MOT or not.0 -
I never see a taxi/private hire without at least one bulb out somewhere.
Do they ever go through MOTs?0 -

But... <warning, rocket science beyond this point> Just because a bulb was working at the MOT doesn't mean it'll stay working until the next one.0 -

Indeed, then again checking all bulbs before setting off on a 20 mile journey doesn't mean a bulb won't fail 1 mile into that journey.
I bet the Police have never heard "I checked them 5 mins ago" beforeAlways try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!0 -
Yes. Depending on local licensing regimes, they may be MOTd every six months, or have tougher tests.

Yes but it's fishy how all these taxi bulbs always blow straight after the MOT.0 -

I had this on a Montego once, it passed the MOT, but had a split and leaking fuel tank:eek:0
