I'm going on holiday to the states in June, would like to take one across to show my relatives. Shame the article didn't say when you could go into branch and get one.

    From today I believe.
  • Their Glasgow headoffice branch cash machine has the new £5 notes in them, not sure which other ones have them but the machine said new £5 notes available here on the screen. They are very nice to touch, not been able to rip it so far!

Saw one today, one of my colleagues got one from a branch. I like them.

If they're the same, they've been using them in Australia for quite some time, you can't rip them, not that i would want to anyway.

Will they just be available in Scotland – or can we get them at the London branch in Piccadilly?

I love to hand out those Clydesdale notes in shops in London – the expressions you get on the cashiers faces are priceless!

Yes, they seem the same, just smaller. Even smaller than our paper notes. I got some today at my local branch, just out of curiosity!

As for the London branch...the press releases seem to indicate that they are available only in Scottish branches.

EDIT: the press release actually says "The limited edition notes will be available from branches of the Clydesdale." which probably means that they are available in the London branch.

Timing was great for me as my switch away from Clydesdale to M&S is due to take place in two days time.

Any opinions on whether they would be willing to give out these notes to non account holders? I'm not home until the 1st and my partner doesn't have a Clydesdale account.

Non account holders are allowed 2 notes.I'm not an account holder and that's all I was allowed.

I'd bet they'll all be gone by the time I'm home.
