Ryanair Baggage Allowance

Hi, I was wondering if someone could help??

I'm just booking flights to Italy and cannot understand the information they provide regarding the baggage.

We only have two light bags about 4kg in each which we want to take in the plane with us, the Ryanair booking site asks if we have any bags to check-in and I have selected this as 0 although I am now confused if we are taking the bags into the plane are they being checked-in and therfore we need to select 2?? or keep it as 0 as we're actually taking them in ourselves.

I'm sorry if this sounds stupid but don't fly often so not sure...

Thanks in advance

    Hi Sara,

If you are carrying them as hand luggage, and you are only carrying one bag each, then select 0. When you do select 0, it gives the option to purchase priority boarding and online checkin, however you do have to pay for this, so if you do not want it untick the box below.

    Enjoy! x

No if your only taking hand luggage onto the plane you dont need to tick checked in as this is only if your taking cases etc that need to go into the hold.

There isn't a box to untick. Select 0 bags Priority Boarding and then click Remove(which is a blue link created nearby, once you have selected 0 bags)
Otherwise, you will end up paying £4 each.

Many thanks! Just printed the confirmation and I've put an extra I in my name, will this be ok or cause any problems at check-in?

Surname or First name? If the first name, they probably won't notice. Don't point it out. :)

Thanks, at the end of my First Name after a space it's an extra I, then Surname - like a Middle Initial.

I was trying to write my first name and surname on the first line only to realise that it was the First Name only and when deleting somehow the first letter of my surname remained and I filled the second line with my correct surname.

    I hate form filling!

It won't be a problem. Just don't point it out. :)

I wouldn't worry about it. If they do notice it, you could suggest it is a smudge on the piece of paper (and the computer screen?)?!!! x
