Hi
I have a Fujitsu Lifebook AH530 laptop with a Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium operating system. The laptop is very slow to start up.
I ran a performance management check which said it was slow as several programs are running at the start. It listed the programs as :
Synaptics Pointing Device Driver
Intel Common User Inface (listed 3 times )
Intel Common User Inface
Intel Common User Inface
Plugfree Network
Ecology
Fujitsu Display Manager
Lifebook Application Panel
Button handler
Realtek HD Audio Manager
Bluetooth Audio Configuration Monitor
Microsoft Security Client
FUJ02E3 Utility
Fujitsu Hotkey Utility
MUI Start Menu Application
Desk Update Notifier
Microsoft Office 2010
Citrix ICA Client
Can anyone advise if I need all these running at strat up or can I remove any?
Thanks

Two easy steps INSTALL AND RUN CCLEANER its free and gets rid of a lot of headaches
Consider a ram upgrade this is the easiest most cost effective way of speeding up a sluggish laptop
Short of installing a solid state drive
Supported capacity RAM (max.)8 GB Memory slots total 2 Memory slot type SO DIMM (DDR3, 1066 MHz) thats from the data sheet for your machine ....i take it you only have 4gb installed (2x2GB)
Your laptop will run fine with 6 gb (4+2GB) this is usually the cheaper option as 8 gb kits 4+4gb can be expencive Ebay is your friend here!!
Hope that helps0 -
You need to disable some or most of the programs you highlighted.
See this article for how to do this using MSCONFIG:

Thanks for this. It appears to be easy to delete the ones I do not need. Are there any that I must keep and then I will manually delete the rest.

Download Should I Remove It
After running you will get a list of all programs installed. Click one with a red bar and then click What is it? Read info and decide if you need it.0
