music files lower bit rate 128kbps to 320kbps

    the reason why i wanted to know is because i'm self taught with pc's and also a forum i use want all music to be 320 bitrate,personally when i listen to music on pc 128 bit rate sounds fine but if i burn to cd then play it on my hi fi which is a high spec one or my ghetto blaster( which is middle of the road spec)the sound is often sh1te.

    It used to be important to have smaller files when mp3 players had a relatively small capacity. These days, mp3 players begin at 1GB, unlike 64-128MB not so long ago.
    So, you should create your mp3 files with the future in mind. Minimum 192kbps.
