Ahoyo all
I was slightly dubious as to this due to the format of the letter-head and so I gave it a quick google and stumbled upon here. I've read through the Newbie Guide but am just posting to ensure that I've understood it fully and that my tweaks to the template are supported.
I received a PCN - date of posting 18/3/15 - and am being charged with Overstay - which leaves me somewhat confused as the duration is less than that of an hour which then leads me to believe that the driver either didn't purchase a ticket or failed to display it correctly - although surely that would be another charge reason altogether?
At first I sought to simply pay it and remove the issue, but my card was rejected from paying through paymypcn, and attempts at calling them resulted in my learning they had a full voicemailbox, which I considered to be a further sign of a lack of credibility.
My current plan is to post off the below to the postal address given to send the cheque too.
Should I reword / rethink? Just pay to silence the issue? I'm lucky enough to be in a position that it won't overly affect me, although I don't particularly wish to encourage what seems to be a shyster sydincate.
Pleases and thank yous, welcomes and appreciations in advance

you have not received an NTK yet so POFA 2012 would not apply
this is the notice to the driver (a windscreen pcn)
you also mention the word FINE or FINES, yet this isnt one, its an INVOICE
by using the word FINE you perpetuate the myth and show your ignorance in their eyes
STANDARD PRACTICE is to wait for the NTK (unless its a small company) - then appeal, but without giving away information such as you have
too often people try to add words and trip themselves up, yet the template letter will suffice
for a small company, sending after day 21 is considered correct, to avoid the debt collection route , yet this is only days old at best
in this case they dont seem to be in the BPA or the IPC, so why contact them at all ?0 -

Thanks for the speed ^_^
And ah, nice save on fine :T
I've had an NTK - assuming that's the notice to keeper.
There was nothing left on the windshield that I'm aware of, just a letter through the post which linked to the paymy... site.
EDIT:
Wait, just reread and the use of fine is ... fine surely?
They're attempting to exhibit it as such, which would require a justification for the invoice.0 -
not sure how they got your details then, seeing as they do not seem to be in the BPA or the IPC ?
are they alleging POFA 2012 applies, if not its chase the driver (who will not be named), seeing as they cannot offer arbitration if they are not in either trade body0 -

PayMyPCN displays images showing the car and license, as well as offering links to the DVLA, ICO, BPA, and IPC.
I'd assume that the info came from the DVLA.
Their website is secure-parking.co.uk.
I'm unsure of how exactly to proceed because I'm not fully aware of just who they're affiliated with.
About to head out now, so my responses will end here for a few hours - but thanks for the aid thus far ^_^0 -
I agree that paymypcn may have those affiliations, but I was not convinced that secure parking does
but scouring the BPA website I found them
S & K Car Park Management Limited t/as Secure Parking
so just send the template letter from the NEWBIES sticky thread, no need to give them any other info at all0
