Minimum opening time for switching an account

Does anyone know if there is generally a minimum length of time for an account to have been active / open before it can be switched?
I'd like to take advantage of some switching deals but am quite happy and / or tied into my bank accounts. Hence, I'm wondering about opening some basic account(s) for future switching.

It's no time. You have to have activated the debit card though.0

Can you keep switching though? Once you switch a basic account to one that rewards you, can you move that one again or do you have to wait a certain amount of time first?0

No switch terms say you must have held the old account for a minimum period before you can switch.
No current account terms say you must hold an account for a minimum period.
Switch terms can say that the bonus will only be paid xx days after switch is completed and if the account is still open.0 -
What steps do you need to take to activate a debit card. It's no time. You have to have activated the debit card though.
Recently opened and received cards for
TSB
Halifax
Lloyds
and none asked to activate the card.
We have moved money into each and is showing online.
Only Tesco Intenet Saver Account has asked to activate so far.
Hope I have not missed anything.0 -
If your debit card provider does not ask you to activate the card, it is active as soon as they have issued it.0

Where a bank has required me to activate a debit card recently, there has been a sticky label on the card explaining the activation process
