Private company Parking Eye will no longer penalise visitors at a Norwich beauty spot after a crunch meeting to end its contract early.
The national company had been contracted to manage parking at Whitlingham Country Park since 2012 as a way to generate income for its maintenance.
I wonder how much money that PE raked in from their fake fines actually found its way back to the charity running the country park?

As per the 31st March 2014 Accounts the answer is £nil
http://apps.charitycommission.gov.uk/Accounts/Ends11/0000802711_AC_20140331_E_C.pdf
Quote from page 5:-
"Under arrangements for the provision of parking management services to The Whitlingham Charitable Trust parking management fees payable are equal to parking penalties collected on behalf of the Trust."
The parking management fee for 2013/14 was £102,783 which is more than the pay and display charges which were only £86,663.

Better at what?
IPC AOS, oh dear. At least with PE, motorists who engaged with the appeals process had a better than even chance of avoiding the 'penalties'.
What chance with the IAS?
Having supped with the devil, the Trust has now decided to bed with him. A further shafting on its way! Not the last of this I suspect. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

As this is a charity, the Charities Commission should be informed of this new liaison with a very uncharitable outfit.
Joggers and dog walkers are not the best people to go head to head with in my opinion. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0
