I have around 18k of debts from a car loan, personal loan and credit cards. .
Do any of the card accounts, or the personal loan, predate April 2007 ?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. @whatsup8:
You need approval from MSE to post on here - from MSE rules:
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/site/forum-faqs?_ga=1.163847484.2098250780.1407491076I'm a journalist, I posted asking people to get in touch, but my post's gone. Why?
TV companies, newspapers and researchers are not allowed to post on the forum asking for case studies unless given specific permission. If we allowed this, the forum would be flooded with requests.
If you're a journalist wanting permission/ looking for case studies, please read the media enquiries section of the Site FAQs for the email address relevant to you. A member of the MSE Team will get back to you when they can.0 -
Thanks Pollycat. I had just previously sent the forum team a query about that post.
Aside from forum policy, I feel it's somewhat tactless to ask someone who is worried about telling their family something to declare it on TV.0 -
Newbie here too so hi and I understand 'that newbie feeling'
Debt is horrible, it gives you a horrible anxious feeling all the time and you do worry about people finding out.
You will be fine, good luck and I'm sticking around for your journey.Desperate to save and clear debt

I agree totally. Thanks Pollycat. I had just previously sent the forum team a query about that post.
Aside from forum policy, I feel it's somewhat tactless to ask someone who is worried about telling their family something to declare it on TV.
Apart from that, the OP only posted once on 22rd March at 08:30 and logged off and hasn't been back (at least hasn't logged on as a member) so whatsup8 must have done some digging to find this thread.
I hope the OP managed to find some help with his debt issues.0
