A few questions about appealing to UKPC

Hello,
I received a private parking ticket from UKPC (UK Parking Control Ltd) 8 days ago on my windscreen, and I wasn't sure if they are a small company or a larger company where I should wait for the NtK.
Also would you advise that I try and contact the landowner first and get them to cancel it? If so what kind of complaint should be given to them
