Buy a wired keyboard and mouse maybe?
Reboot your pc and see if it makes a difference. There are too many variables that can go wrong when it comes to wireless mice and keyboards and it is very rare that you actually need them to be wireless so why pay the premium to buy them in the first place and for new batteries every few month?0 -
it iis taking me ages to type

No you can't just buy them and expect them to work. you need to plug them in to the PC before they will work

As long as you get them in the right ports if you buy a PS2 keyboard and mouse you will be fine. USB ports are the same all over the PC so you can plug them in to any USB port. PS2 is a round connector. usually coloured purple for a keyboard and gree for a mouse.0 -
It actually may not be a faulty keyboard is your mouse sticking also? down here it is roasting I expect your proberbly knee deep is snow all the way up in Inverness even my laptop requires extra cooling in this heat or it starts to play up a little by not reconising mouse and keyboard commands.
Switch your pc off for a while to allow it to cool down and when you boot it back up see if it is the same.0 -

Gerts whats up?
Somthing seems to be going a little haywire with your pc, moveing it arround as long as you dont go bounceing it shouldnt cause any problems, if you drop it or anything other than treat them with kid gloves then you could cause things to dislodge inside like cooling fans even dust moves in to the bearing of the fan and cloggs it up.
as for the black circle is it this your talking about
That is microsofts way of saying you can't click and drag that to that position, in the picture I was dragging the my docs desktop icon to the toolbar of internet explorer, you get the same if you try to move icons in to my computer network places, move the recycle bin. normally somthing lke an unresponsive mouse will cause this. as you move while the mouse button is still pressed or it presses after you are in another location.
I would also run a spyware check using adaware from https://www.lavasoftusa.com0 -
Thanks yet again:D
It seems to be the keyboard still sticking thi morning...touch wood the mouse is ok. It's only when I type fast it sticks and misses letters out now...so I'm on slow mo!!!!;)
Is it worth getting it fixed/replaced by dell (3 year guarantee) or just buy a cheapy?
The pc was moved carefully...its on wheels and I moved it 3 metres.
oh yeah,
The black circle thing was what you showed and it was when I WASclicking on the back button or trying to click on links...you know stuff that should be ok...but like I said it seems to be ok now ..cheers xYou may walk and you may run
