parasol bases & rotary airers

hiya,

does anyone know you can use a heavy weight parasol base to hold a rotary airer in as I live in a flat with a balcony (sp?).

at the moment I'm using clothes airers. I'm always dashing outside if its a windy day checking they are still standing.

I would personally think that it would still tip up.

I've tried it and it doesn't work, slightest whiff of a breeze and they do tip up.

I am currently using my parasol base as a holder for my rotary airer until such time as I get round to sorting a proper line out and it's fine, BUT the pole of the airer does go through the middle of my garden table in the same way a parasol would, so without this it may tip up.

Perhaps you could still use the heavy base but tie the pole to your balcony if feasible?

Not too sure about what would happen on a very windy day though - you might find your grundys blown all around the streets! :rotfl:

You best get some super duper pegs that's for sure!
