stamp duty and shared ownership

How do I find out if a market value election was made for stamp duty on purchasing a shared ownership property?
It was 5 years ago so don't really want to go back to the solicitor now.
Can I write to HMRC or will the land registry be able to tell me?
Nothing in my paper work except a note to sign the SDLT form and post it.

Can you not tell from the price you paid?
For example, if your property was valued at £250,000 and your share was 50% (£125,000) and you paid £2500 then you know you paid a market value election because you paid SD on the value of the whole property.0 -
Letter to HMRC it is then.
RedRuby, we were first time buyers in 2009 when stamp duty didn't apply to first time buyers, so we didn't pay anything and wouldn't have under either option.
Got my fingers crossed that the solicitor made a market value election.
Thanks for your help0
