    ...Individual consumer complaints were not looked at by the FSA but by the Ombudsman and this continues to be true today.
    Individual insurance companies behaving badly can be named and shamed on MSE and will be looked at by MSE readers. The daily readership is enormous and it gets important stuff noticed.

    Name and shame this outfit please.

    Perhaps the Food Standards Agency isn't interested, but I think the Information Commissioner's office could be, under Principle 4

    Did you read the post I quoted? They were suggesting lying about having a recording of the original call (and then incorrectly referred to FSA instead of FCA)

    Absolutely.

    The insurer has accused the OP of being dishonest.

    The last thing the OP wants to do is give them a demonstration that they really are dishonest.
