Co-Operative Energy Beware

Co-Op energy have change their website. It now shows only the barest information - you cannot see your tariff, your past meter readings and you cannot input meter readings. When I called this morning I was on hold for 11 minutes before being cut off. When I rang back I was on hold for another 10 minutes before anyone answered. It would seem that their call centre is now under stress and what was previously excellent customer service is now rather poor. I would caution anyone thinking about switching to Co-Op Energy and advise that they wait a month or so to see if the Co-Op can finish their website upgrade and resource their call centre adequately.

Yes, can't even access it (was previously a bit strange, that when I tried to log in with the saved details, it would say there was an error. I would then try exactly the same thing and it would let me in. The new site isn't even being that helpful!)
Thanks for the warning: glad I've already got a switch in hand.0 -

Why not wait until tomorrow? They may well have sorted out any problems today. I personally wouldn't keep ringing if I knew a website had recently changed therefore possibly have the odd mishap to start.0 -
You have to re register and go through a process to validate your new account. I did it all a week or so ago and can't remember the exact details, but I think it was quite straight forward.
It was a bit annoying not to be able to enter meter readings for a couple of weeks while they switched over, but all done now. I'm not sure whether the consumption details and previous readings have gone completely, or whether they will be restored eventually. I keep my own record anyway.
I didn't like the previous website at all, hope this will be an improvement.0
