I am having some probs removing old BT broadband software from the BT connect CD and my old BT voyager modem. ( i am now with Talk Talk:rotfl: ).
I tried running the Uninstall for the modem and any thing else for the BT software, alsoe checked out contraol panel "add/remove" programmes.
However, still getting a BT Broadbanh help icon in the RHS of my system icon tray and an option in my Programmes files listing "BT Wireless Connection Manager".
any advice on how to remove the software??

Should never have put it on there in the first place.
Don't make the same mistake twice and try to install TalkTalk software.
Just get the required info and set it up manually.0 -

Are you talking about the desktop icon? Right click, Properties and then Find Target. Now you know where it is on your system, go and delete it. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

You will have to look for this software on your hard drive and delete it then. Personally I have never used any ISP's installation software, it's simply not necessary.
If you do Start, Run, Msconfig, you may find something belonging to BT that you could uncheck, to prevent it running at every boot. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

If you can't see a path to the BT software in msconfig (you may have to expand the 2nd column) you will have to search for it. It's a long time since I did this for someone, I can't remember the location of the BT stuff. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
