The Cheapest Way to Watch Premiership Football

Now that Setanta and BT have joined SKY and the BBC in showing Premiership football, where can I get the best deal?

Subscribers to Virgin Media can receive the six Setanta Sports channels plus Sky Sports channels from £34 a month, where as Sky customers, on the other hand, must pay £43.99 for the full complement of Premiership matches, including the Setanta games.

Although obscenely expensive, and complete with an horrendous customer service department, I'm loathed to accept Sky as the better package because, as far as I know, it's the only place that offers HD.

However, with all TV package deals, I appreciate that there will be deals that combine TV, Phones and Internet. So, my question is...

What is the cheapest company to subscribe to in order to watch all (or at least most) of the upcoming Premiership season in HD?

Any and all advice is most definitely appreciated.

Thanks,
Jim

Sky is the ONLY provider of HD content, even the BBC chennels are part of the Sky HD package. HD is not widely available on anything other than Sat

I might cancel sky sports of my package soon considering Setanta have got the Liverpool channel and it will show every premiership and champions league game even though some / most may be time delayed but it will save me money in the long run as I don't really want to add setanta onto my package as I am already paying £37 a month

If you go for one of the xxxx FC channels all the games will be delayed. None of them are live.

BT's service seems like a waste of time to me at the moment, its only £4 a month I think but you can only watch delayed matches. Some people might want to but I don't really want to watch the WHOLE of a delayed match, I'd rather just watch highlights on MOTD.

BBC have a brief run down of all the packages available: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/6922014.stm
