BT Vision anyone?

Just wondered if anyone had the new BT vision and if so, what do you think of it.

Currently have Sky+ but the obvious thing with BT vision is Sports for £12.00 and freeview channels which is all we tend to watch. With Sky+ we are paying £37.00 per month?

Any opinions or views greatly appreciated :D

Sorry, can't answer your question but I'm also looking for up-to-date information from BT Vision users. We're currently on the top package with Sky and have multi-room. Could live without multi-room (and a trailing telephone wire) but hubby watches the football - I've looked at the BT Vision sports info but not really sure how these packages compare with Sky. Can anyone help please?

I have had BT vision for 2 weeks now and am very impressed so far.
We were already with BT Broadband, and our freeview box died, so the current offer of £30 suited us down to the ground (dont forget you get the hard disc recoder too). You have to commit to BT broadband for a further year, but other than that its free (except for the downloadable content of course).
You can record 2 different channels at the same time and watch a third, pause and rewind live TV, and download movies and tv shows to watch. Lots of TV shows available, although current movie releases are a bit limited at the moment.
Only problem we have had is the hard disc recorder tends to cut out before the show finishes - but this is easily rectified by telling the machine manually to stop recording 15 mins after show finishes. Apparently BT are working on this at the moment.
Havnt got the sport package but sounds a good deal if you are in to football (not very favourable to other sports though unfortunately - we were hoping for some decent rugby to be shown and no such luck).

Like kellyp I'm impressed with BT Vision - had it since 3 July.

I have the same problem with recording ending just before the end of a programme, but also just select "Finish recording 5 mins afterwards" - really easy to do.

It will record up to 80 hours of TV. I particularly like the ease with which programmes can be recorded. Press the R ecord button twice and you have scheduled the recording of the whole series - particularly useful for those series you don't want to miss.

Well we have had it since Jan it is fab, we were on the trial to test it. We have had the setanta sport for a few days and hubby seems happy - but no Moto GP :-(
you can set up a series record which is great if you don't want to miss your fav shows, you can pause and rewind a channel that you have been watching for and hour- so if you get home half way through a film it's great to RW and watch it from the beginning or if you want to FF through the ad's!
We do think it is great even though we have been through ALL of the teething troubles.
The only thing is our kids enjoy some Sky only free to air channels so we have cancelled Sky but still use it as an extra freeview box for the odd kids channels.
Imo it is worth having, but be aware there are some issues like the recording stoping to early but if you can put up with that I would go for it!
