Cancelled Easyjet flight

Hi everybody

My return flight with Easyjet has been cancelled because of a strike, my car is parked at Luton's long stay car park and now I have to pay 5 extra days (£19 per day).
Easyjet says they can't refund any car park charge and Luton says that I can't extend my booking using the same rate I payed when I booked online.
Is there any way I can have my money back, or at least part of them?

Thanks very much :)

    Lesson learned.

Many insurances exclude cover for the effects of strikes.

While I would say it's madness to travel without insurance (the medical / repatriation cover being my main reason for saying it) sometimes circumstances conspire against you and leave you with a bill.

    Try suing the union.

Why on earth not? I realise that it might not have helped you here but it is mad to have none at all. What if one of you had been taken seriously ill and needed transporting back to the UK? The EHIC card wouldn't cover it.
