I'm thinking of taking voluntary redundancy as my job will not suite my lifestyle after the main redundancies and new hours start .
If I take voluntary what implications will this involve .I have no mortgage to cover but I'm sure I wont be able to sign on ,is this correct ? .I also have over 10k in savings so will this alter things also .
If you no of any other issues that may happen taking voluntary could you please let me know .

You should sign on as soon as you finish work. Especially if you are going to be job seeking.
Signing on also gives you your NI credit which counts towards your State Pension and also some state benefits in the future.
Voluntary and normal redundancy are treated exactly the same by the dWPmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
If you've paid enough NI, then you should still get contributions based JSA I think which lasts for 6 months. After that, with savings and redundancy payout then that will rule you out for income based JSA.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0
