Boiler cover plans
[Deleted User]

As a newish landlord I think its prudent to have some sort of boiler cover (if only for peace of mind). However, there seem to be a number of plans from different companies, ranging from the cheapest Ive seen at £8/month from npower for boiler cover alone to around £26/month for everything covered (boiler, pipes, plumbing, electrics etc). A key point about the cheaper ones seems to be the limit of 2 call outs per year, whereas some of the more expensive ones offer unlimied call outs.
My own boiler is a combi-boiler, but looks quite old (not sure how old as only bought the flat 6 months ago). Does anyone have experience of any of these plans, and which is best value or best customer service?

I have no experience of these as DH is a plumber himself!
But people I know who are in these plans have found themselves disappointed in the past in terms of what they're actually covered for.
My personal opinion would be find a reliable CORGI registered plumber by recommendation. Maybe neighbours, friends, your letting agent have someone they can recommend? That way you only pay when you need them.0
