In the big scheme of things it doesn't matter but for some reason feels nice to see this. Just looked at it just now and saw it was through this milestone. Onwards and upwards for the UK I hope!

Let's hope the Labour Party don't win the election and bring chaos back to the economy.0

What do you call Osborne's doubling of the National Debt in one term of office?“It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.” --Upton Sinclair0 -

Better than trebling it which is what would have happened if the other lot got in:rotfl:0 -

A sensible middle path. Continued wasteful spending by a Labour government would have had us stripped of our credit rating and we would have gone down the route of socialist France. Had he cut deeper so he didn't increase the debt it could have thrown us back into recession and damaged public services. I think he's done a fantastic job as chancellor and I will be voting Conservative in May and Im sure most sensible people will do also.0 -
Osbourne hasn't cut anything, he's spent more money each year. Our debt is now massive, he's missed every target that he set himself and he's an inveterate liar. He took a growing economy and stalled it for 2 years, and the only way he got it moving wasn't through job creation but by inflating the housing market once more.0
