Beads do get caught up in cob webs leaving veins of voids which brings there own issues. Also one bead supplier (I won't name) is getting a reputation for not bonding properly with the PVA glue they use. Also who owns the gap?
Putting my building hat on, or perhaps I should say my site helmet, this would not be Thermobead by any chance?
I have complained to installation crews about the lack of pva, but here I am unusual - most consumers do not know, or do not care.
A good point about spiders webs - I have never considered that one.0 -

Which makes me wonder if Thermobead is unsuitable for application with pva, or whether a specialist adhesive such as a concentrated pva should be used.
Also, if walls are left undisturbed then the adhesive could be unnecessary. Indeed, if the material slumps it will fill the voids and the slumping will be aided by the lack of adhesive.
My gable ends are filled full height with Thermobead to surcharge that below and encourage a slump to fill the voids. The roofspace is not habitable so is a cold storage area that has received CWI. I specified this to give me an extra 2 metres height of insulation that over time would settle.
It is a few years since I read the BBA for Thermobead but nothing is ringing bells in my mind about the adhesive, or the dosage. Drill pattern, use of the lance, damp and a host of issues ring bells but not the adhesive.Any observations here?0
