Investment help for £20k - £25K

Hi,

My parents are very kindly giving me £25,000 as a house deposit and I would like a little advice on the best way to treat it.

I've got 1500 on a CC and 3000 left on a Zopa loan, I'm keen pay these off which would leave me with £20k to put somewhere safe and gain interest.

I do have a small ISA which has got about £200 in it which I haven't been adding to as I've been paying down my CC.

What would be you guys best suggestions on the way to treat it?

When are you hoping / planning on buying i.e. are you investing it for 3 months, 3 years, 10 years?

Interest paying Current Accounts sound like the best option, just need to resist the temptation to dip into it for day-to-day living.

So you need easy access then without penalties or time limits.

Current Accounts - there is an article on the main site and a discussion thread about who is offering best deals.
