Charge and Mortgage

Back in 2006 I had a charge put onto my Home. £2000. Was taken to court and was ordered to pay.. (DD)

I finally paid this off in March 2014. But only just realised (This week) I was supposed to pay £15 and apply for a Certificate of Satisfaction from the court.... ARGGHHHH!!!

My Husband and I would like re remortgage our property.

Should this hamper us in any way...

I have a good equifax etc....

How urgently are you looking to remortgage?

I'd get the charge removed first before remortgage.
Once removed it shouldn't cause you an issue.

    Thanks for your reply..

    Urgent.. :)

Currently the charge doesn't show on an equifax search?

So are you saying obtain the Certificate of Satisfaction before we apply for a mortgage? Then WE should have no problem?

    Thanks

You want to get the charging order removed from the land registry records if it still shows on there. Have you checked to see if it is still definitely showing?

If its from 2006 then I wouldn't have expected an entry on any of the credit reference agency files in relation to the judgement/debt?
