Overseas employment Myanmar

My son has been offered a position in Myanmar. This is his first overseas employment, and is more of a career move than anything else. Couple of queries I have before he makes the big decision to give up his job here.
- His salary (US$) will be paid into a bank in Myanmar and he will be taxed over there at around 13%. He needs to be in the country for more than 183 days to qualify for this tax rate. First question is, would he also be liable for UK tax, given that he is paying tax over there?
- Are there any financial controls that will prevent him from transferring money from his Myanmar bank account to a UK account?
- When (if ever) he decides to return to the UK, or move on elsewhere, are there any restrictions on the amount of currency he can take out the country?

Transferring money ultimately would be something to take up with the bank. HSBC is a company to check. These transfers go through US and could be stopped by US authorities. It will be also costly.

"As soon as you are aware of the fact that you are leaving the United Kingdom you should make contact with Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs and request that they send you a copy of form P85 (Leaving the United Kingdom). This form should be completed in the week you leave the UK, or after, and will inform revenue and customs of the fact that you are no longer resident in the UK.
To be classified as non-resident, you will need to prove the following:
You have moved abroad permanently or your absence from full time work will last for longer that a complete tax year.
You visit the UK less than 183 days in a tax year, or average less than 91 days over a four year period."ally.0
