Baxi Duo-Tec 24kw

Hello

Just had a qoute for Gas Central Heating installation in a 3 bedroomed semi with one bathroom. Qoute includes fitting a baxi due-tec 24kw with 7 year warranty.

Just wondering if anyone has any experiences with this boiler and can reccomend or not reccomend it?

Thanks

Got the 40kw version and it's been fine for last two years. Heats the house quickly and can finally run a nice hot bath. Would recommend getting the higher kW model for the hot water side.
  • Hi lordnolo

It's not a bad boiler but defo go for a min of 30 kW , although you only have one bathroom the water out put on 24kw boilers are poor , it's not much extra to buy a 30 kW and the installation is the same so not any dearer .

    Hope that helps

    duo-tec's don't come in 30kw ;)

very good boilers i would go for either the 28kw or 33kw, i hope your quote includes possibily upgrading the size of the gas pipe
I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

There is absolutely no point recommending a higher output boiler if the 24kw has been chosen as a best match for the cold water mains pressure.

OP did the engineer do a cold water mains test?

Big "if" in my experience. Most 24kw boilers get thrown in by landlords for cost reasons.....period:D

Hi all. Thanks for the replies. Been qouted an extra £150 for a 28kw which doesn't seem to be bad. No cold water pressure test done though.
