Anyone know Knypersley (Biddulph)?

Me and my husband are currently looking for our next property and have been outbid/lost out to cash buyers on 6 properties in the last 4 weeks! Nothing seems to be coming on to tjethe market and when it does there are a queue of people waiting to buy them!
We currently live in a fairly prestigious part of cheshire where prices are crazy generally. Due to this we have widened our search and found our perfect house in Knypersley Biddulph - the only negative is the location! It is still close to where we work (30 mins) and more house than we can dream of ever owning in our current area. However the snobs in our families are saying we are making a HUGE mistake! !
Does anyone know the area? Is it really that bad or are people just being snobby? The house is in the middle of nowhere so it hasn't really got any neighbours. We feel it could be our forever home but are worried that the area won't ever increase in value and that we could be buying a house we could never sell should we need to. It would also make it difficult to move back to cheshire should prices fall In Staffordshire and continue to boom in Cheshire.
We don't want to buy a lemon so appreciate anyone's opinion if you know the area
Many thanks!

My wife & I live in Biddulph & have done for 3 years. We've currently got our house for sale to move back closer to my wifes family.
We love it here. You've got Manchester nearby. Beautiful walks at the cloud & biddulph grange country park on your doorstep too, not to mention tittesworth reservoir, rudyard lake & knypersley reservoir. Peak district is a stones throw too.
Ultimately its horses for courses. I work in cheshire & have done for 8 years and spend my whole working week travelling all around cheshire & can safely say I wouldnt want to live anywhere in cheshire. I find it pretentious, overcrowded & snobby.0
