Polycarb to Glass Roof

Hi all,
Want some advice on this quotation.
I have presently got a polycarb conservatory roof. It is about 3.5 X 3.0
I called 2 local companies for a quote. It is a kitchen !!! conservatory.
One of the companies has given me a quote for £9000 to replace the whole roof and put Celcius glass with blue tint.
The other company said the whole of the windows including a door need to be replaced along with replacing the roof and given me a quote for £12500. He said the base could not support the glass roof.

Are these prices reasonable. Glass at the base is only about 8 years old and is double glazed.

I was thinking that this would be like max £5k job but the prices are too high.

Any comments would be highly appreciated.

    Replied to your PM.

Did they say why you needed to replace the 8 year old door and windows?
