Complicated Credit Card Fraud Help

In January I discovered that my CC had a charge to a online TV subscription service which was not mine. I called the bank and they stopped the card & issued a new one. I also phoned the merchant who said they would stop the charge.
I did not even have my new card in my possession yet when a new charge was made on the new card on the same date of the month which, according to my bank, was an ongoing subscription charge which had been 'pushed through' from the old card. I do not know if this is even possible so I am still concerned about whether my new card has been compromised through account theft details or malware (nothing showing up on my computer though).
The bank assured me they would stop this fraudulent subscription and told me not to contact the merchant but in March again I had another charge. This time after contacting the bank and getting yet more assurances of them having stopped the amount going through I phoned the merchant who told me that the account was still active, being used and that the charges were still active and would have continued to come off but they then assured me they would cancel the account.
I have had to fill in three fraud claim forms and one amount still remains on my account. Another charge has been marked as 'dispute' on my account but I don't know what this means. I've literally spoken to about 10 people from the bank who all keep saying the charges will be removed from my card but they are still showing for one month. They also did not stop the subscription through the merchant who also assured me once that they were going to stop this. I'm not sure what to do next but I feel like I'm banging my head against a wall! If anyone has any advice I'd be so grateful!

The bank is incapable of 'stopping' the charges. All they can do is to keep refunding it to you and charging back the company.The bank assured me they would stop this fraudulent subscription and told me not to contact the merchant but in March again I had another charge. This time after contacting the bank and getting yet more assurances of them having stopped the amount going through I phoned the merchant who told me that the account was still active, being used and that the charges were still active and would have continued to come off but they then assured me they would cancel the account.
Even ignoring that it is a fraudulent CPA, one request to cancel it has to be sufficient. If your bank fails to sort it out, complain.If anyone has any advice I'd be so grateful!

As grumbler says, a formal letter of complaint to the bank would be a good next step.
The bank may not have wanted you to contact the merchant whilst they conducted a fraud investigation - so that nobody got a tip-off that an investigation was going on.0
