Scentsy didn't deliver item

I attended a playgroup with my son and there was a Scentsy consultant there one week. I ordered a burner and some wax coming to £32 which I gave her my card details for.
This was back in November.
The next week she didn't come and the following week when I wasn't at playgroup she delivered the items. The girl who took my item I repeatedly had to send Facebook messages to asking her to deliver my item, she moved away and asked her dad to deliver it to me. One Sunday he put it behind my bin outside my house and after I messaged her the following Saturday she realised that she had not messaged me to tell me this. The item was not there when I went to look.
The girl who had my item said that she would buy me another. By this point we are into January.
I have repeatedly asked her to pay for the item and the when I check with the consultant she still hasn't. The consultant said that it was not for her to get involved.
I decided to contact Scentsy head office as I didn't see why I was losing out. My order form had my address and telephone number on it and I didn't see why I was losing out because the consultant delivered my item to someone that I didn't really know. It wasn't a party with friends, it was a playgroup where the consultant had set up a table.
Scentsy are now saying that it is not the consultants responsibility and that the consultant had a verbal agreement with the host of the party that she would deliver the items to the host and the host would distribute them.
What should I do now? I don't understand how I've ended up losing out here.

Could anyone at least point in the right direction for the legal standpoint for these at home parties. Cheers!0

Thanks, this looks great. I'm not sure how they'll feel that the host of the party lost the item but this does feel a bit like progress. Thank you so much.0
