Cost of Lloyds DD processing delay

Having just logged onto my Lloyds internet banking account there is a ways to pay tab.
This only gives me two options, firstly payments from a Lloyds current account. The second by direct debit. Here it gives me the option to change my direct debit yet makes no mention of any delay in implementing this, yet alone a delay of several months.
Yes, those are ways of paying from your Lloyds online banking. I don't think anyone else on this thread has suggested that as an option, what they are suggesting is that you can pay from your FD account by using FD online banking with a Faster Payment to the account number specified on the back of your CC statement. I would be surprised if you can't do the same thing with telephone banking but it's not something I use as I like control of the payment to be in my hands.0 -
If you're paying a Lloyds credit card from a non Lloyds account, you would simply log on to the non Lloyds account and make a payment from there using the details from the back of your Lloyds statement, using your card number as the reference.
The delay was caused by the OP really.0 -
I don't understand why you didn't just pay the cc balance from your non Lloyds account via a bank transfer. The back of your monthly statement lists a number of ways to pay
this is the key... the way to do it is to Pay To your card account from your current account via faster payment, rather than ask them to Take Payment From your current account via your debit card.0
