Masterpieces of Polish Cinema Competition
Win a fantastic goody bag including Second Run DVD’s Polish Classics Box Sets, a Polish Film Posters book, bag and cinema tickets.
To mark the BFI Southbank’s two-month season Martin Scorsese Presents Masterpieces of Polish Cinema featuring the best Polish films, hand-picked by the legendary director, and film fan, Martin Scorsese, we’ve put together with the 13th KINOTEKA Polish Film Festival a fantastic goody bag for you to win.
Prizes include:
The first two volumes of Second Run DVD’s Polish Cinema Classics series gathers together films from some of Poland’s acknowledged master filmmakers – including works by Andrzej Wajda, Jerzy Kawalerowicz and Krzysztof Zanussi. These celebrated films are fully restored in new HD masters and released for the first time ever in the UK.
A beautiful coffee table book of classic Polish posters (from the masters of the Polish Poster School) which compliments the Polish Film Posters: 1954 – 1970 exhibition in the BFI Atrium space. Framed by a culture of Cold War politics, the posters skilfully integrate image and text, referencing everything from folk art to Pop Art. Drawn from the BFI’s Special Collections, this exhibition charts the Polish School’s response to British films which spoke to the very human emotions and challenges faced by those across the world.
PLUS an assortment of lovely 13th KINOTEKA Polish Film Festival merchandise including a lovely shoulder bag with artwork from “Ashes and Diamonds” and a T-shirt and a red Moleskin notebook.
PLUS two complimentary tickets to a film of the winner’s choice in part two of the season.
“I’m proud that Second Run have been able to release so many of these classic Polish films on DVD. This BFI Southbank season provides an incredible opportunity to see a curated selection of remarkable films by master filmmakers, presented in newly restored versions, for us to marvel at on the big screen.”
