Fridge Freezer LG GR359SQ - Manual?Problem?.

I received help here, especially from Canucklehead, when my fridge freezer died the other day.
Yesterday, I acquired the above, via a Gumtree ad and let it stand overnight before switching it on at 6am.
There is distinct heat from the door seal surrounds, which can be felt on the outside carcass, but the freezer drawers below seem to be functioning well, less sure about the fridge section - cool, but not chill.
I've signed up for the excellent whitegoods site, advised by Canucklehead, and posted my ? there also, as I find no immediate parallel in their faq.s and general sections.
Before anyone suggests any problems are self-inflicted by 2nd-hand purchase, 'buy new' etc etc, my budget would not allow for it.
p.s. just saw handsome little chap as used for avatar pop out from under shed.

    Just downloaded manual from here:
    http://gb.lgservice.com/gcsc/b2c/hpi/main?tc=owm.command.OwmCmd.

    Now to reverse the doors.
I see that LG Guarantee refrigeration for 2years, which may help if heat in door seal surrounds continues. Shall speak to previous owners.

I've got a similar Lg fridge freezer and the side of the fridge gets quite hot sometimes when its working hard.

I've had it for 3 years problem free. Great fridge freezer.

That is so reassuring - thankyou very much.
One door to go, finding bottom plate hard to undo with spanner.

  • I think it is a design "feature" that the area around the door seals gets warm, its supposed to stop them freezing up or similar - Also don't forget that the FF will be running almost non-stop whilst it reaches the set temperature so the seal area will be warmer than normal when it should be running intermittently.

Certainly my last fridge got warm around the seals.

Thankyou also for your reassurance. I had never been aware of the phenomenon before.
It's been absolute pig to do and has taken me over 6 hours. Had to be done.
Now outside to drift into the remains of the mostly lost beautiful day.
