Student Loan CCJ

Hi folks, I'm just after a few opinions

Yesterday I had a CCJ for an unpaid student loan drop off my Equifax credit report. It was never reported on my Experian one. Obviously this is a good thing for my report. I've still not paid all of it off but I am keeping up with the monthly payments as agreed with them. I remember reading on here somewhere that CCJ's can be re served. Do you think this is likely to happen? I assume if it does then it will stay there for another six years. Any opinions appreciated.

Hi, I think as long as you stick with you payments you will be fine. When someone referred to the re-service of the summons, it was probably because they were stating they did not get the original so it was cancelled or recalled(removed from the CRA's databases), then the company just reserve it to the correct person and address. It was a way used people trying to clear their credit files by saying they were never got the summons which makes the CCJ invalid, and it is also useful if you genuinely did not get it and wish to defend it etc.. hope this helps. james
