business lease

Hi, I have a commercial lease on my premises, the lease ended on 31st December 2014 and I have now received a letter from the company acting for the landlord, they are prepared to offer me a new three year lease as from the 1st April 2015 but with an increased rent and service charge, am I right in thinking that they should have given me notice of the proposed increases at least three months before the end of the previous lease period, can they increase the amounts with only two weeks notice. Also on 26th January 2012 (the start period of the lease), the contribution towards the legal costs were £150. but the new cost for the preparation of the new lease is £350. I think that this is way too much of an increase, when all it would be would be a change of start and end dates. Thanks for reading,.
