It`s between the Halifax Clarity card or the
Nationwide Select card
Having looked at both I can`t see as there`s much difference.
Opinions please.

For abroad?
Halifax Clarity offers free cash withdrawals. And a free fiver if you have a properly funded Halifax Rewards account (£1,000 per month). Make that a tenner if you set up a couple Direct Debits on the Rewards account.
Nationwide Select doesn't offer free cash withdrawals, but does offer 0.5% cashback on "pounds sterling" purchases only.
Both offer commission-free purchases abroad.
You have to hold a Nationwide Current Account to get their Select Credit Card: "Exclusively for our main current account customers."
I have both. A backup is useful.

Yes, but you're charged interest from the day the withdrawal hits your statement.
Do you mean that the interest is charged from when your statement is generated - NOT the day you withdraw the cash?
I'm going to the States in a few weeks and I was planning on using internet banking to pay the amount that I withdraw each day over to my Clarity credit card each day. I asked the guy in Halifax when I applied for the card, and he didn't have a clue.0 -

prob wont appear on your account for 3 to 4 days after withdrawal, if you are only away for a couple of weeks even if you waited till you got home the interest would only be a couple of pounds assumming you arent withdrawing the maximum every day0 -
