Halifax switch - timeframe for account details

Hi all,
This evening I have set up another Barclays donor account online. I have my sort code and account details.
I wish to switch this account to Halifax… and was thinking of applying for this tonight.
However there was no option to opt out of a new debit card with Barclays so that will be sent within the next week.
my question is this: can I start the ball rolling with HAlifax tonight, without my new debit card details.
The Halifax switch looks even more simple than the Yorkshire bank one, just having to switch and close an account to receive the money… is this correct?!
Thanks

Halifax will want the barclays account debit card number before you can switch.0 -
That's what I expected. Thanks0

From experience, I can tell you reclusive46 is correct. You could start the switch now and email Halifax the debit card number and end date latter using SwitcherQueries@lloydsbanking.com.
Let us know how you get on.0
