UKPC and Small Claims Solicitors

Hello. Sorry to post this but I have read through the Newbies thread about Parking Charge Notices but it is information overload and I am confused.
My partner got a PCN from UKPC and took advice to ignore it. ( I know now that was wrong)
We had 3 letters from UKPC followed by 3 from DRP and now 1 from Small Claims Solicitors saying unless payment is made they may issue court proceedings and obtain CCJ.
What should she do please?

Background is she parked in a Free For Two Hours (provided you do not leave the site )carpark. Used a shop on site, put her shopping in the car and left the site for 10 minutes. Came back to find the ticket. Total on site time was under 1 hour.

Thanks.

You need to read the newbies thread on debt collectors. They may or might send a herd of rhino round on a number 9 bus, now does that frighten you in to paying. DRP cannot start small claims in their name, only the PPC can, it is another ignore.

Too late to do much now. You could try an initial appeal using the template in the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, but you might just poke a stick in the hornets' nest and get them all excited and think you are so worried, the PPC will start pursuing you vigorously again.

Or, as you are so far down the road of ignoring things, just carry on. In terms of litigation, you need to carefully read what they are saying.
Small Claims Solicitors saying unless payment is made they may issue court proceedings and obtain CCJ.

'May' - look it up in the dictionary!

'Obtain CCJ' - you determine whether a CCJ is 'obtained'. They issue court proceedings, you lose, the Judge awards costs against you, you decide not to, or forget to pay by the required date, a CCJ is issued. YOU control this, not them!

Wise up, tough up, IGNORE them, unless a LBA or MCOL (Google is your friend!) is issued. Come back if either occurs.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Congratulations, you've reached the end of the UKPC letter chain, all you have to do now is ignore this last template letter.

Thanks for replies. A little more information.
The letter from SCS says in bold print DO NOT CONTACT SCS but to contact DRP.

SCS say they act for UKPC Ltd. They will obtain CCJ, send bailiffs / high court enforcement officers to remove goods from my address, apply for an order for my employer to deduct sums from my wages etc.

The solicitors letter is not signed as such. It just has SCS scribbled at the bottom which looks to be photocopy.

Full details of SCS are at the bottom. Address, reg number, SRA number etc.

This is just UKPC's latest attempt at scamming and bullying, did you not understand Umkomaas post?

I know they can not obtain a CCJ but that is what they say.

I understand Umkomaas post but added more detail about the SCS letter in case you thought it was worth reporting to the SRA as I get the feeling it has come direct from DRP.
    Thanks.

If they really do say what you allege they have said, i.e., will this may well amount to demanding money with menaces, a criminal offence. Send a copy to the local police station and to your Local Trading Standards Officer (not CAB who are useless), and ask them what they think

If they think that it is a civil matter ask them for a written opinion why.
