Dishwasher next to fridge freezer?

Hi everyone
I live in a purpose built flat with a bulk/trade kitchen.
There was never a dishwasher installed but I'd like to get one. Unfortunately additional doors/units are no longer available from the supplier so I'm looking at a standard unit, not integrated/built-in. So long as it's grey/silver on the front it should look ok.
I don't like the idea of a standalone one too much easier as there isn't that much space. I am prepared for a unit to go though to accomodate a standard dishwasher.
There are 2 possible sites.
A slimline unit next to the fridge freezer, probably a 2m hose run for water/waste.
Or a standard one right next to the sink.
I'm probably going to get someone in to do the install as it will require ripping out the internals of an existing kitchen unit. I can smash things up as good as anyone and connect a few hoses but getting something that looks tidy isn't my speciality
Is there anything particularly bad about parking a dishwasher in between an oven and a fridge-freezer?
Having a source of heat next to something that does it's best to keep things cold seems a bit odd to me, but would it actually break either appliance?
Anyone got a dishwasher next to the freezer and had any issues?
I suppose the fridge freezer might have to use more electricity to keep the temperature down but no idea what cost difference that would make.
Also parking it next to the fridge would mean routing the water hoses is a bit more complicated as they'd have to go under/around some existing units and behind/under the oven.
Cheers, GBG

Putting the dishwasher next to the fridge/freezer shouldn't be a problem. The outside of the dishwasher doesn't get that hot & it's not hot for long anyway.
The only problem with long hoses, especially the outlet, is that they block easier. Keep as short as possible & as few bends as possible.
A dishwasher near a sink is the better idea if you can do it.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0
