Upto £250k outside of London??? Not gonna help any first time buyers in the likes of Brighton where you can't even buy a 1 bed flat for that!0

I know I shouldn't, but I feel annoyed now.
Just got through my Mortgage offer today. FTB with partner. An extra £6k between us would be a massive help! Guess I'm just stuck doing things in life at the wrong time...
You would have had to wait about 5 years with your purchase.
It is normal in life that some offers come along at what seems the wrong time. I would have loved to have a 2% mortgage but instead mortgages were 14% when I bought.0 -

You could always vote for the Greens - they'll have those £60K or so houses. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/generalelection/natalie-bennett-on-lbc-green-party-chief-delivers-car-crash-performance-dubbed-worst-party-leader-interview-ever-given-10066667.html0 -
Thats really interesting, thank you. OH is aiming to buy a home Aug 2016 so he'd only get a year out of it but that's still £850 help. I wonder what the interest rates offered by the banks will be, hope he isn't jumping in before the better offers if he opens one of the first on offer.0
