I am in real desperation and need help.
I have checked my credit file for the first time ever, after being turned down for a new phone contract with EE, and have discovered that There is a CCJ and several default notices for mobile phones and payday loans.
I am only 18, I have never ever had a loan or contract phone.
I don't know what I can do to try and fix this problem, can anyone help me?
Thanks

Hi mpatz and welcome to the forum.
It sounds as if you may have been a victim of identity theft.
I would suggest you start by visiting
http://www.actionfraud.police.uk/
to report the matter(s) as the companies listed on your credit file may ask for a crime reference number as part of any investigations they carry out.
There will be ways of cancelling any incorrect CCJs and other entries on your credit file, but I would visit the above website to begin with and take it from there.
The Experian website has a useful guide to identity fraud, how it happens and what you can do to protect yourself against future recurrences of it:
http://www.experian.co.uk/consumer/identity-fraud.html

Hello
This must have been quite a shock for you.
The advice that National Debt Line has given you are the right steps to take. If the business' agree that these are fraudulent then they should ask the credit reference agencies to remove this information from your credit file.
If you're still having problems after this then you can make a complaint.
We can look at complaints against the payday loan providers and the Communications and Internet Services Adjudication Scheme (CISAS) can look at complaints against EE.
