I expect you can buy the correct battery with the right connector. No need to build your own battery. Look in the alarm box to see if removing the battery is possible then you know if you can replace it and can find out if a replacement is available.Thanks so open up the white packaging and just take out the old batteries? sounds straight forward, will get the ladders out on the weekend!0 -
Just in case anyone is interested, the above picture was the same as my 2 units and the battery packs are 4xAA welded together and connected to the LEDs by 2 cables which are screwed in (like wiring a plug)

I opted to buy one this for my 2 so its easy to change when the batteries die, just need to make sure i waterproof them properly:beer:0
