Closed/Delinquent Accounts

Hello,

I had a DMP which I paid off two years ago. All but one of my creditors accepted my payment offers and so the closed accounts on my Experian report show as being up to date up to them being closed. However, NatWest seemingly refused to accept my offers and every month it is showing as defaulted over 6 months up until the final payment cleared the account. Although they took the money and the account is clear and closed it is still on my Experian report as a delinquent account and is now the only negative. Is this likely to stay the case for six years until it comes off?

CCJ's and defaults stay on your file for 6 years. So the account will disappear from your credit file 6 years after the account was defaulted. So if you defaulted on 1/2/2010 then the account will be removed on 1/2/2016.

Makes perfect sense... sadly. Many thanks.
Frustrating that the term "delinquent account" will appear for so long despite me paying a not insignificant amount off it every month to clear it and having been debt free for two years. Hopefully, by the time I'm ready to apply for mortgages in two years it won't be frowned on too much.
