Shouldn't laugh on the slim chance that this is a genuine innocent question.
But oh, the thought of OP rushing in to see wife ..."By gor I've had a brilliant idea luv!!! Let's buy a crap house really cheap and ..."
No, no, just not believable.0 -
Surely you mean "Blond OP rushing in to see hubby ..."By gor I've had a brilliant idea luv!!! Let's buy a crap house really cheap and ..."LateStarter wrote: »Shouldn't laugh on the slim chance that this is a genuine innocent question.

Well, it is just about possible to do something like this, and make money. A few minor things help. Firstly, doing in in the late 80's and early 90's, when house prices were lower, prices rising more predictably, and the dashed interwebs wasn't there to tell your buyer what you'd paid two years earlier. Secondly, a lot of very hard work, mostly by me, late into the night. Thirdly, a ready pool of tenants, willing to help do the properties up, in return for lower rent and other favours...... Slave labour, in effect.... Forthly, a generous business relocation allowance, that cropped up every three years, and allowed properties to be flipped. Fifthly, a non-blonde OH, whose tolerance knows no bounds, and whose willingness to hold the other end cannot be matched.
So, all in, pretty simple, really.;)0 -
