Anyone bought glasses from GlassesCrafter.co.uk before? What are your views on them? I've read one or 2 bad comments about them on here.
Last night I filled out an order for a complete pair @ £37.50 but didn't complete it and decided to "sleep" on it. Got an email from them today in broken english offering me £7.50 off my order if I complete it today or tomorrow.
Is it worth the risk as I have a high perscription.
I've already paid £200 this week at Specsavers for a new complete pair but no way do I want to pay that again for just a second pair. Got free reactions lenses so couldn't take their free second pair offer.
Thanks

I'd recommend from personal experience:
Glassesdirect.co.uk - got my designer glasses for £45 - the exact same pair that I had priced up in D&A for £140. To be completely honest they sent me the wrong colour first but I had my proper order in just over a week.
and
Goggles4u - about £15, ideal as my second pair, took about 2-3 weeks to arrive but can't go wrong for the price. (And quidco too)You can't go wrong with carpet bombing...0 -

Got mine from www.fashionspecsdirect.co.uk - they even have an offer where they sent me rthe same prescription free as sunglasses. I was very happy with the quality, and they arrived in just a few days. I was a bit leery, as I had tried another site before that I guess was in Pakistan or somewhere - they never arrived, and I was inundated with spam - so be careful..............0

I bought from glassescrafter.co.uk, they seemed very cheap on the designer specs I was looking for. However that was nearly a month ago and the designer specs have not materialised, I have emailed them lots of times and all I get are relplies in broken english saying I will get them tomorrow, or the day after, or next week and so on. My advice AVOID like the plague.0

Both DH and I have got glasses from Glasses crafter and have been happy with them. We have also recommended them to friends who have also been happy with their glasses.0

Hi Damien,
Did the glasses you ordered from glassescrafter ever arrive?
I was looking to place an order with them but didn't have my PD details to hand. I then decided to contact them when I noticed they don't have a phone no. listed and use a gmail email acct. The red flags went up and I thought, hmm, maybe not. It didn't seem like a reputable co. to me. Oddly enough I can't even get onto their site today.0 -

I got a pair of glasses from Glassescrafter today, they took 9 working days from dispatch. I didn't hold much hope for them after reading the negative comments but I have had no problems and decided to come back and prove most of you wrong!
Here's the said specs...0 -

I had ordered two pairs of glasses from Glassescrafter and they duly arrived. Both pairs have the wrong prescription in them, and one pair was broken. They were sent from China. After emailing the company, they emailed back within 12 hours asking me to return them and they will be replaced. I have sent them back to China at the cost of over £9. I paid over £70 for the glasses, now another £9. I hope the replacements are correct or they will be expensive glasses!
I previously bought cheap glasses from glassesdirect which I was very pleased with, but there wasn't as much choose as the glassescrafter site.
I will be going back to glassesdirect for the next pair.0
