Opening additional Lloyds current account

Options
Hello,

Does anyone know how many Lloyds current accounts you can have. I am looking to open a second account to help with spending. I have heard from others that it also doesn't do a credit check if you have one already, which is ideal as I don't want too many more searches as I've applied for a few this month.

However on the website it takes you through to a full application if I go through internet banking and says a credit check 'may be carried out'?

I don't think that there is any limit unless it's Club Lloyds account.

Don't know about a credit search.

No its not a club just a current account. Just rang the customer services but got told two different things, it seems like there is a simpler process as an existing customer but they had me filling out the full form so I gave up.

    Hi Water112,

As you know, there are various types of current accounts we offer and depending on the type of account you want to open, there are limits applicable.

For example, Cash accounts have a limit of one account per customer in sole or joint names.

Classic accounts have no limit although we would asses the individual needs of each customer to understand if opening multiple classic accounts is the right option for them. An example of this is that some customers have two classic accounts, one for their bills and one for spending.

Our Added Value Accounts have a limit of one account per customer in sole or joint names.

I'm unable to confirm whether or not we'll refer your details to a credit reference agency as part of the application process.

    Thanks
